METRO

The Oral Hearing on Metro North concluded on 10 March 2010.


HEAVY RAIL

The first phase of the Western Rail Corridor was officially opened on 29 March 2010. Five return services operate between Galway and Limerick each weekday.


ROADS
M9 Waterford to Knocktopher
Officially opened on 22 March 2010, this new 24 km section of motorway provides improved access to and from the city of Waterford via the new N25 Waterford City Bypass. This motorway also bypasses Knocktopher, Ballyhale and Mullinavat, removing unnecessary through traffic.
