Metro North

On 2 March, An Bord Pleanála held a preliminary meeting of the Oral Hearing in relation to the RPA's application for a Railway Order in respect of the Metro North project. The primary purpose of the preliminary meeting was to facilitate the Board in setting out a detailed agenda for the substantive Hearing which the Board subsequently advised would open on Wednesday, 1 April at 11am in the Croke Park Conference Centre (Celtic Suite).

BUSES

Bus Éireann

Bus Éireann has introduced the first accessible double-deck commuter coaches in the country for use on commuter routes in Leinster.

New double deck buses have been introduced in Cork for use on city and commuter services.

Frequency has been increased on the Dublin Airport-Wicklow 133 route with all buses operating with top-of-the-range vehicles funded under Transport 21.
