The following developments took place in June 2009:

16 June

The new Spencer Dock Bridge opened to vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian traffic. The Luas Docklands Extension, scheduled for opening in early 2010, will also be routed via the bridge.

30 June

Two of the four consortia tendering for the Metro North PPP have been shortlisted by the RPA to proceed to the final stage of the procurement competition. The two consortia are Metro Express and Celtic Metro Group.
